Warm Season Green Manure Seed Mix

from $8.50

This seed mix consists of fast growing annuals valued for their ability to build soil naturally. Buckwheat adds organic matter and accumulates Phosphorus, whilst Cowpea adds organic matter & nitrogen and helps to control nematodes. Their flowers can also help attract beneficial insects such as hoverflies, lacewings & bees. This combination is also good for suppressing weeds.

Sprinkle amongst your annuals, especially heavy feeders or broadcast sow as a quick cover crop before a growing season. Lightly cover seed with good quality compost or simply rake seed lightly into the top soil. Slash or crimp stems once flowers appear (approx 4-6 weeks).

  • Germinates best in warmer soils (above 20oC)

  • Sow Nov-Feb in Temperate areas

  • Prefers full sun

  • Grown organically in Australia

  • Available in two sizes: 100grams and 250grams

  • All packaging 100% home compostable

100 grams, packaged in an envelope made from quality 100% post-consumer recycled paper collected from local households and industry within Australia. Each seed mix envelope measures 140mm (h) x 90mm (w).
